Weirdest celebrity insurances

Fingers, legs, buttocks!? Weirdest celebrity insurances

Among western celebrities, getting their

body parts insured is a common trend,

though no one has officially patented any

mannerism or trait. Film stars, singers and

sportspersons invest huge sums of money

to get body parts insured because it is

 considered an additional risk management

measure. Lloyd’s of London is the

insurance firm that does most such jobs

for Hollywood celebs, often insuring stars

from head to toe. Many stars go for the

weirdest insurances — from breasts,

fingers and waists to moustache, chest hair

and even taste buds and smile.

1.    Popstar Mariah Carey is rumoured to have insured her

legs for a whopping $1 billion, though the amount isn’t

confirmed.

2.    English football star David Beckham’s $70 million

(Rs 350 crore) insurance with Lloyd’s covers all knee and

ankle injuries.

3.    Actor-singer Jennifer Lopez is rumoured to have

insured her butt for $ 27 million.

4.    Actress America Ferrera’s smile is worth $ 10 million.

5.    Singer Tom Jones chose to insure his chest hair

for $ 7 million.

6.    Buxom popstar Dolly Parton had insured her 42-inch

breasts for $ 3.8 million.

7.    Actor Daniel Craig has a $ 9.5 million insurance policy
for his body.

8.    Rocker Bruce Springsteen's voice is insured with

Lloyd’s for $6 million.

9.    The Rolling Stones' iconic singer/guitarist Keith

Richards has hands worth $ 1.6 million.

10.  Legs, particularly, are a favourite. Actress Jamie Lee

Curtis’ legs are insured for $ 2.8-million.

11.  Supermodel Heidi Klum’s legs are worth $ 2.2 million.

12.  Popstar Rihanna insured her legs for $ 1 million.

13.  The most unusual insurance has to be Van Halen singer

David Lee Roth’s. In 1981, Roth insured his sperm

for $ 1 million.

14. Australian cricketer Merv Hughes insured his trademark

moustache for $ 317,000. Celebrated wine taster Angela

Mount had her taste buds protected with

a $ 16 million policy.
