Stay Thin

Stay Thin on the Holidays

A holiday from work isn't a holiday from life. Calories don't go on holiday, even if your usual life does.
There's a few simple things you can do to keep in shape. And they're fun too!

Keep Moving
Go out for dancing instead of parking it by the beachside. Rent a cycle instead of a bike, walk around the local ruins or try the seasonal sport.
And if there's nothing to do, you were better off chilling at home.
At least you can check out table tennis at the resort.
If you are, for some (messed up) reason, you don't consider physical activity into selecting the holiday, you can at least pack a
skipping rope.

Snack Before the Night Out
If you show up at a party hungry, two things will happen. You'll be hitting the buffet before thinking of having fun. Or, you'll think of multitasking, stalking the waiters walking around with the Hors d'œuvres and the girls with equal desperation, and being weird with both. And when you do score (the food), it'll be an act of desperation. You'll overeat.

One Plate Rule
Don't be pressurized by the pressure of getting your money's worth from a buffet.
I can't go into that kind of emotional eating enough, but unless you disagree with me about this, a simple way to avoid overating is the 'One Plate Rule.
Pasta and dal don't mix well - load up on the foods you really want to eat, making a mini tasting menu on your plate. Now savor instead of feeding.

Don't Forget Fat
In the guise of local cuisine, you might let ghee and butter sneak into your diet. However, your body, as I said earlier can tell the difference.
Ditto for alcohol - add some variety to your high calorie booze with diet sodas. Food shouldn't be the focus of your food, even if there's a lot of it. (MensXP.com)
